Joy that moves with the times.
Hexagram 16 is about enthusiasm: thunder rising from the earth and stirring everything awake. It is a good moment to build a team and start a project, as long as the excitement stays tied to facts. The text warns that enthusiasm which runs ahead of reality, or lingers too long, can end in a stumble.

雷出地奋，豫；先王以作乐崇德，殷荐之上帝，以配祖考。
Thunder rises from the earth: enthusiasm. The early kings made music to honor virtue and offered it to heaven, pairing it with the ancestors.

Lingering, persistent trouble that keeps returning, yet it does not destroy you.
A recurring problem is best handled with steady attention over time, not with a quick fix.
上六：冥豫，成有渝，无咎。
Enthusiasm that sinks into obscurity. If you change course once the work is done, there is no blame.
If you get so absorbed in the mood that you lose your bearings, you can still correct course at the end without reproach.
