After Completion 水火既济
☵☲ Water over Fire
Completion, guarding against reversal.
After Completion describes a moment when a task has reached its goal. Water above fire shows two forces in balance, and balance is fragile. A good beginning can end in disorder if vigilance drops, so it is wise to keep checking what you have built.
Judgment
亨小，利贞。初吉终乱。
A small success through perseverance. Good at the start, disordered at the end.

Water above fire: after completion. The noble person considers danger and prepares for it in advance.

初九：曳其轮，濡其尾，无咎。
Drag back the wheel and wet the tail. No blame.

六四：𦈡有衣袽，终日戒。
There are fine garments and rags for stopping leaks. Stay watchful all day.
Keep small repairs ready. Stay alert, because minor leaks tend to appear when you least expect them.
九五：东邻杀牛，不如西邻之禴祭，实受其福。
The eastern neighbor slaughters an ox, yet the western neighbor's simple seasonal offering is better, and the western neighbor truly receives the blessing.
Sincere, modest effort often brings more real benefit than a show of wealth. Focus on what is genuine.
上六：濡其首，厉。
The head is wet. Danger.
Pushing on after the goal is reached, or going in too deep, puts you at risk. Ease off before you go under.
